Ron Venden, a retired carpenter, first spotted Almond the cat with his mother cat and his kitten siblings, in a maple tree in his neighborhood in Wisconsin last June. Since then, his family left but Almond stuck around. Venden says he's never seen him leave the tree and that he climbs about 3.5m up there at least twice a day to check on and feed him.
